Male Stonechat Print Two

These birds are found on marshlands, open heath lands and along the coastal areas. The male is very colourful while the female is rather drab and is often hard to see, whereas the male has such striking colour markings. They often find high perching areas on top of dead shrubs, gorse bushes and fence posts to keep a look out and dart down low if you get too close, only to climb back up when you move away.
