Male Bearded Tit Print One

This bird is found in wetland areas with dense reed beds where it lives and breeds in the reeds. They fly over the reed beds and, with a quick turn, drop out of site to the lower parts of the reeds then slowly move up the reed stem to the top of the reed. They also make their nest in a clump of reeds that they pull together and the nest is like a ball with the reeds passing through it. They feed on insects and the reed head seeds when they mature in the autumn. The males call as they fly over the reed beds when in flight.
